Peter O. Chott, 1950 geboren in Bernbeuren (Kreis Weilheim-Schongau).

  • 1970 Abitur am Gymnasium Schongau
  • Von 1970-1973 Studium für das ‘Lehramt an Volksschulen’ an der Universität München.
  • Von 1973 – 2016 im Schuldienst in Grund- und Hauptschulen.
  • 1976 Beginn des nebenberuflichen Weiterstudiums an der Universität Augsburg; zudem II. Lehramtsprüfung.
  • 1981 Prüfung zum staatlich geprüften Tennislehrer.
  • 1982 Prüfung zum „Magister Artium“ – MA.
  • 1988 Promotion zum „Dr. phil.“ in den Fächern Schulpädagogik, Allgemeine Pädagogik und Didaktik der Kunsterziehung.
  • 1988/89 wissenschaftlicher Assistent an der Universität Augsburg.
  • 1989-1991 nebenberufliche Lehraufträge an der Universität Augsburg.
  • Von 1990-2016 Rektor der Elsbethenschule, einer Grundschule in Memmingen.
  • 1996 Habilitation an der Universität Augsburg im Fach Schulpädagogik.
  • 2001 Übernahme der Leitung des IPFF (Institut für Pädagogische Führung und Fortbildung) im Bayerischen Schulleitungsverband (BSV).
  • 2001/2002 nebenberuflicher Lehrauftrag an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Weingarten.
  • Seit dem Wintersemester 2002/2003 nebenberuflich Dozent am Lehrstuhl für Schulpädagogik der Universität Augsburg.
  • 2009 Bestellung zum außerplanmäßigen Professor an der Universität Augsburg.
  • 2016 Eintritt in den Ruhestand als Rektor der Elsbethenschule – Grundschule Memmingen
  • Weiterarbeit als außerplanmäßiger Professor an der Universität Augsburg (Lehrstuhl Schulpädagogik: Prof. Dr. Klaus Zierer)

Biography

Peter O. Chott was born 1950 in Bernbeuren (Weilheim-Schongau district).

  • 1970 Abitur
  • From 1970-1973 studies for ‚Elementary School Teaching‘ at the University of Munich.
  • From 1973 – 2016 in the teaching profession in elementary and secondary schools.
  • 1976 Start of part-time further studies at the University of Augsburg; also II. teacher’s examination.
  • 1981 Examination as a state-certified tennis instructor.
  • 1982 Examination for MA – „Magister Artium“.
  • 1988 Doctorate to „Dr. phil.“ in the subjects school pedagogy, general pedagogy and didactics of art education.
  • 1988/89 scientific assistant at the University of Augsburg
  • 1989-1991 part-time lectureship at the University of Augsburg.
  • From 1990-2016 principal of the Elsbethenschule, an elementary school in Memmingen/Bavaria.
  • 1996 Habilitation at the University of Augsburg in school pedagogy.
  • 2001 Assumed leadership of the IPFF (Institute for Pedagogical Leadership and Continuing Education) in the Bavarian School Leadership Association (BSV).
  • 2001/2002 part-time lectureship at the University of Education Weingarten.
  • Since the winter semester 2002/2003 part-time lecturer at the Chair of School Pedagogy at the University of Augsburg.
  • 2009 Appointment as associate professor at the University of Augsburg.
  • 2016 Retirement as principal of the Elsbethenschule – elementary school Memmingen.
  • Continued work as an adjunct professor at the University of Augsburg (Chair of School Pedagogy: Prof. Dr. Klaus Zierer).
